Practical guidance for customers and independent service providers.
About TexContractor
TexContractor is a U.S. service directory that helps customers discover providers by service and location, review profiles and contact a provider directly about a job.
Providers operate independently. A published listing is not a background check, license verification, endorsement or guarantee of availability, response, price or workmanship. Some listings are unclaimed business entries compiled from public sources; inclusion does not imply the business registered or endorsed TexContractor.
What you can do
- Browse 61 service catalogs and search using a U.S. city, state or ZIP code. Check the provider’s actual service area before booking.
- View service descriptions, profile images and up to 10 work photos when supplied. Illustrative catalog images are not evidence of a provider’s completed work.
- Sign in to access provider contact options. Use the phone or message icon in the directory, or open the profile.
- Send your project details directly from your device. You choose whether to send the prepared message and whether to attach photos or video.
- Share TexContractor and add it to your phone’s Home Screen.
Estimates, scheduling, payment and work arrangements are agreed directly with the provider. The directory does not promise a response time or a successful message delivery.
How to register as a contractor
- Select Post a service and sign in using an available sign-in option.
- Enter your real name, a public display or company name and a phone number you control that can receive and reply to customer SMS messages.
- Choose the correct service, state and city, and describe your actual services and coverage. Do not invent experience, credentials or guarantees.
- Add a profile photo or an available illustrative image. Upload only work photos you own or have permission to publish, up to 10.
- Read the terms and contractor guidelines, confirm the SMS phone requirement and submit. Follow the confirmation shown by the form; listings may be reviewed, corrected or removed.
Service posting is restricted to users within the United States. Keep contact information current. For corrections to an existing listing, contact support with the listing name and URL.
Contractor guidelines and SMS phone rule
Landline numbers are not allowed for new contractor registrations. Use a mobile number you control that receives customer texts and lets you reply. Do not use fax numbers, voice-only lines, another person’s number or a number that cannot receive SMS.
You must confirm the SMS requirement when registering. This confirmation is your declaration, not an automatic carrier or delivery verification. A phone icon or message icon does not certify SMS capability. A listing with an unreachable or unsuitable contact number may be withheld or removed after review.
- Keep your identity, location, service area, qualifications and descriptions truthful. Select a relevant catalog and avoid duplicate or misleading listings.
- Put your phone number only in the designated phone field. Do not embed phone numbers or external links in your display name or description.
- Use only authorized photos. Do not publish customer addresses, faces or other personal information without permission.
- Provide services only where you meet applicable licensing, permit, insurance and safety requirements.
- No scams, harassment, discrimination, unlawful services, impersonation, spam or unsolicited marketing. Respect requests to stop contact.
- Confirm scope, estimate, materials, timing and payment terms with the customer before beginning work.
Add TexContractor to your phone
Open texcontractor.com in your normal browser, rather than a social media app’s built-in browser. Adding it to your Home Screen provides quick access to the website; an internet connection is still needed for current listings and account features.
iPhone or iPad — Safari
- Open TexContractor in Safari.
- Open the Share menu (on some versions, first open More).
- Choose Add to Home Screen. If offered, turn on Open as Web App.
- Confirm the name and tap Add.
Android — Chrome
- Open TexContractor in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu.
- Choose Install and create shortcut, Install app or Add to Home screen, depending on your browser version.
- Follow the browser’s confirmation steps.
If installation is unavailable, use the browser’s Home Screen shortcut option. You can remove the icon later using your phone’s usual app or shortcut controls. This does not delete your TexContractor account.

Find and contact a provider
Choose a service and enter your U.S. location. Nearby results are a starting point; ask the provider to confirm coverage and availability. Sign in before using protected contact options. The message button opens your device’s messaging app with a draft; nothing is sent until you send it yourself. Your carrier’s rates may apply.
If calling or messaging does not open
Your device needs an app that handles phone calls or SMS. A desktop may not have one configured. Try the same listing on your phone. An SMS draft or message icon does not confirm delivery; if a number is unsuitable, report the listing.
Account or listing help
Use the sign-in option offered on the site. Contact support for profile corrections, removal requests or access problems. Never email your password or a sign-in code.
Report a problem
Use the listing’s report option or email support with its name, URL, reason and relevant details. Blocking a provider on your device does not necessarily block calls or texts in your phone app; use your phone’s blocking controls too.
Safety guidelines
- Check the provider’s identity, references and any license, permit or insurance required for the job. “Published” is a listing status, not a safety certification.
- Get scope, pricing, fees, materials, schedule and cancellation terms in writing. Verify unexpected payment instructions independently.
- Avoid pressure to pay by gift card, cryptocurrency or an irreversible transfer. Do not send account passwords, sign-in codes or payment card details in messages.
- Share an exact address only when needed and with the provider you have chosen. Remove private details from photos and video.
- Report suspicious or abusive listings. Keep relevant records of your agreement and communications.
TexContractor is not an emergency dispatch service. For an immediate emergency in the United States, call 911.
Contact support and listing corrections
Email texcontractor.help@gmail.com. Include the listing or page URL, business/display name, city and state, and a short description of the issue. Screenshots can help; conceal private information.
Business owners may request correction or removal of public-source listings. For account access, deletion or privacy requests, email from the account address when possible. We may request reasonable information to confirm that you are authorized to make the request. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or identity documents unless a secure process has been agreed.
Terms of service
Last updated: October 15, 2026.
These terms govern use of TexContractor. Use the service lawfully, provide accurate information and comply with the contractor guidelines. Account holders must be at least 18 and authorized to publish the information they submit. Do not use the service for unlawful activity, spam, scraping protected contact information, impersonation or attempts to bypass access controls.
TexContractor provides a directory and contact tools. It does not perform the listed work, employ the listed providers or enter into customers’ service agreements. Customers and providers are responsible for checking qualifications, agreeing scope and price, obtaining permissions and resolving payment, cancellation and workmanship issues directly. Publishing a profile does not guarantee quality, licensing, safety, availability, customer leads or earnings.
By submitting a listing or images, you confirm you have the necessary rights and permit TexContractor to store, display and format that content to operate the directory. You remain responsible for accuracy and for obtaining permission to publish another person’s information. Contact support to request correction or removal.
New contractor registrations must use an SMS-capable mobile number under the registrant’s control; landlines are prohibited. Sending a service inquiry is not permission for unrelated marketing. Respect recipients’ contact preferences and requests to stop.
Listings and accounts may be reviewed, restricted or removed for inaccurate information, unsuitable contact numbers, abuse or violations. Features can change or be unavailable. No guaranteed response time or uninterrupted availability is offered. Nothing here excludes rights or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Material changes will be identified by an updated date on this page. Questions, reports and review requests can be sent to texcontractor.help@gmail.com.

Information used by the service
We process account sign-in information, including account identifiers, email and available display/avatar information from your chosen sign-in provider. Contractor submissions contain the fields and images you supply, such as real name, display name, contact number, location, service, experience and description. We also process reports, support requests and any messages submitted through site message features.
Public business listings may be compiled from official business websites or other public sources. Business owners can request corrections or removal through support.
Public and protected information
Published display names, city/state, services, descriptions and profile/work images are public. Real names and account email addresses are not intended as public profile fields. Provider phone numbers are made available through protected contact tools to signed-in users; they are not confidential from those users. Do not put private information in public descriptions or photos. People who receive your calls or messages will see the information your phone or messaging service shares with them.
Why and with whom information is processed
We use information to operate accounts and listings, enable contact, check U.S. posting eligibility, handle support and reports, and protect the service. Supabase provides account, database and media storage services. Sign-in providers, hosting/network services and device communication apps process information needed for their functions under their own policies. City/ZIP searches can send the entered location to Zippopotam.us for lookup. Social sharing opens the service you choose.
Calls and SMS opened in your device’s apps are handled by those apps and carriers; TexContractor does not send a draft automatically. Messages entered into a site message feature may be stored by the service. Hosting and security systems may process technical request information such as IP address and device/browser details.
Storage, choices and requests
Browser storage remembers sign-in sessions and preferences such as language, location, dismissed notices and locally blocked providers. Account, listing, media and report records are stored in the service backend. Information is kept as needed to operate the service and address legitimate support, safety and legal needs; backup copies may persist after a removal request. No fixed deletion period is promised here.
Contact texcontractor.help@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion of information associated with you. Available rights and any lawful exceptions depend on applicable law; authorization may need to be verified. Sign out on shared devices. Clearing browser storage does not delete backend records. The service is intended for adults, not children.
