Marcus: Hi everyone! Today we're joined by Mike and Javier, the partners behind TexContractor. Welcome!
Javier: Thanks, Marcus! Great to be here.
Marcus: For those who don't know you yet, please introduce yourselves.
Mike: I'm Mike. I've worked in home services for many years.
Javier: And I'm Javier. I'm a technician, and together we built TexContractor.
Marcus: So tell me, where did this great idea come from?
Mike: Javier used to work with me. Over time we got to know each other well and became friends.
Javier: One day, over lunch, I told him: "We're tired of working for agencies and paying for leads. Why don't we build a place where customers text the technician directly?"
Mike: And right there, at that lunch, TexContractor was born.
Marcus: Wow! What a great story that brought you two together.
Marcus: And does the site work in every state?
Javier: Yes, in every state. Coast to coast.
Marcus: What kinds of services can I find on TexContractor?
Mike: Everything. There are sixty-two categories: plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, roofing, cleaning, landscaping, moving, mobile mechanics... pretty much everything your home and your family need.
Marcus: Can you explain exactly how it works?
Mike: Sure, take a look at the screen. The customer goes to texcontractor.com and picks the service and their city...
Mike: ...sees each technician's profile and photos of their work, and texts them directly. No middlemen.
Javier: And if you're a technician, you sign up for free in a few minutes: your name, your service, your city, and photos of your work. It's only for independent technicians, not companies.
Marcus: And that red dot that moves around? Why does it blink, and why do the services light up?
Javier: Those signals show how customers in every state and every city are connecting with technicians in every service.
Mike: That way you can see the site is alive, all across the country.
Marcus: Are the phone numbers visible to everyone?
Mike: No. The numbers aren't public. Only registered members can see a technician's number to text them.
Javier: And the customer's phone never shows up, unless they choose to share it.
Marcus: How many technicians do you have so far? You're new to the market.
Javier: We haven't counted them one by one yet, but there are already thousands. And it's growing fast.
Marcus: Wow! Thousands already?
Marcus: How much does it cost to sign up?
Mike: For now, sign-up is free for both: the customer and the technician.
Marcus: Last question: what would you say to someone watching right now?
Javier: If you're a technician: work for yourself and be your own boss.
Mike: And if you need a service: find someone near you and text them directly.
Marcus: You heard it: texcontractor.com. Thank you, Mike and Javier!
